Susan's Blog « Thread Started on Dec 30, 2007, 10:24am »
I have never had a blog before. Sort of like a public diary. I will try and keep my rants down to a low roar.
I have belonged to another message board since 2003. Over the years, the administrators have changed along with the atmosphere of the whole site. Many of the same folks are there, but some have left on their own and still others were driven away by people who are so dead set in their ways that they don't want to hear what anyone else has to say on any particular topic. They have also moved their site several times and each time, it throws everyone out and we have to start over from scratch as new members. This is getting old. Plus, there is a whole slew of secret threads (and I mean a bunch) that require so many posts before they let you in. The problem is, everytime some of us get close to the required amount, they up and move their site, and again, everyone gets bumped out and has to start from scratch.
It has gotten to the point where I am almost afraid to post any personal opinions about anything for fear of getting a dunning PM from one of the moderators telling me that I my opinion is inappropriate. (Believe me, I simply stated my opinion and did not attack anyone else's opinions or use any sort of bad or offensive language.)
Although I have a few friends that I made on that board, I am feeling like it is time to say good bye to them. There are a few moderators there who start threads that I sometimes feel are meant to stir people into a controversial discussion just so they can feel important by stepping in to squash those who post.
I have pretty much decided to purge my memberships down to a few that I really like and feel comfortable at. So far I have chosen:
ifibeliftedup.com (mine, of course) KristiAnn's Haven WilliamShatner.com
There are a few others that I am taking a good hard look at and will decide whether to remain with them or not.
I didn't mention the board in question in the event that there may be member here who are also members there and I don't want to start a ruccous between boards.
So, that is my first rant.
I read about your tooth KristiAnn. Ouch! I once had a tooth that had broken in half and like you, did not have any dental insurance. A friend of mine who runs a homeless shelter ended up giving me a voucher to go to the county health clinic to get the tooth pulled. I was amazed. The dentist there was the best I have ever had. I didn't feel a thing. He used a local antceptic on the area where he was going to stick the needle and so I didn't feel the needle going in. When he pulled the tooth, the only thing I felt was a little pressure, like someone pushing on something (no pain).
I did have a few days of some pain afterwards when the novicane wore off, but it wasn't too bad and nothing like when I still had the tooth.
I had better cut this off before I write a book and not a blog. I have a messy house waiting for me. The dust bunnies are gaining up on me and threatening to come out from under my bed and march around my living room.

I have decided to spend more time on my message board this year. I will still keep membership with a few chosen boards.
It is amazing how many changes have taken place with my board since I first opened it up. I barely new anything about websites, programing and such. I still do not know a lot, but have found some styles that I like and stick with them.
The contents have certainly changed. I took my confirmation notes and put them in my secret chamber for safe keeping. I have really grown spiritually this past year and plan to continue this next year.

Have you ever had a strange dream with people you never met before in it?
I took a nap this afternoon between work shifts. I dreamed of a woman hiding in a big trash type barrel. There were young teens playing around, but didn't notice her until she emerged. She got out and suddenly there were at least six police/military type uniformed people coming from the woods in the direction of the woman and teens. They started running.
The next thing, the woman is high in a tree and is talking to someone behind her. She tells the person to "stay alert." With that, she made a strange face like she had been hit by a bullet and then fell from the tree. That is when my alarm went off, waking me up.
The weird thing is, I could actually see the woman's face and it was no one I knew. I could not see the teen’s faces though. They were rather obscure. I couldn't see the faces of the police/military men either.
I am sure it was some sort of warning dream and I have thought long and hard to identify the woman (and no, it isn't any actress from some show or movie either) and I haven’t been smoking anything or ingesting any strange substances.
